Enroll America is the nation’s leading health care enrollment coalition. An independent nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, Enroll America works with more than 4,600 partners in all 50 states and the District of Columbia to create cutting-edge tools, analyze data, inform policy, and share best practices in service of its mission: maximizing the number of Americans who enroll in and retain health coverage under the Affordable Care Act.
How We Work
We use research-based, data-driven strategies to help consumers learn more about their new health insurance options and enroll in coverage.
To reach consumers, we convene a diverse, nationwide network of partners — including city governments, hospitals, community colleges, faith institutions, and small businesses.
By equipping organizations with tried-and-true models for outreach and enrollment, we’re working to make health coverage enrollment a way of life in every community in America.
What We Do
Tens of millions of Americans have been able to sign up for quality, affordable health insurance since the Affordable Care Act took effect.
But millions still stand to get covered, and we need to make sure those who already enrolled are able to stay covered. Connecting consumers to their health insurance options is a marathon, not a sprint, and we’re working as a coalition to make our model part of the permanent landscape of the enrollment community.
We launched the Get Covered America campaign in 2013 to inform millions of eligible consumers about their new health insurance options, and it has been tested, refined, and proven successful through two enrollment cycles. Get Covered America programs and tools are now being utilized by partners in enrollment efforts nationwide, supported by more than 100 Enroll America staff working both nationally and on the ground in targeted communities across the country.
In addition to engaging consumers directly, Enroll America is uniquely positioned to draw on ground-level experience and analysis of outreach data to inform policy.
Our Best Practices Institute is focused on identifying, developing, and disseminating information about effective enrollment and eligibility policies and outreach practices.
With resources for stakeholders at both the national and state levels, we provide guidance and assistance to help states and the federal government adopt streamlined and user-friendly enrollment policies, procedures, and practices.
We collaborate with partners that span the gamut of health coverage stakeholders — health insurers, hospitals, doctors, pharmaceutical companies, employers, labor unions, consumer groups, faith-based organizations, constituency groups, civic organizations, philanthropies — to engage many different voices in support of an easy, accessible, and widely available enrollment process. Side by side with our partners, we’ll work to make enrollment gains permanent by embedding consumer resources in organizations across the country.
It takes a coalition. And Enroll America is committed to supporting organizations and community leaders with a shared commitment to making health coverage enrollment an institutional reality in every community in America.
